We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. It applies to the StockTool.AI mobile application and to stocktool.ai. Please read it carefully. If you do not agree with it, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
STOCKTOOL.AI GLOBAL PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U62099UP2025PTC225502), registered office [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS] (“StockTool.AI”, “we”, “us”). We are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below.
2. Scope and children
This policy applies to the StockTool.AI mobile application and to stocktool.ai, and is issued under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.
The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age. If we learn that personal data of a user under 18 has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete that data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from a child under 18, contact the Grievance Officer at emanali@stocktool.ai.

4. Information we do not collect
We do not collect your shareholdings, quantities or values. We do not connect to your broker or demat account and hold no broker credentials. We hold no funds, place no trades and execute no transactions. We do not see your card or bank details; these are handled by Apple, Google or our payment gateway. We do not collect Aadhaar, PAN or other government identifiers, and we do not collect your precise location.
We hold no sensitive personal data or information within the meaning of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
5. Your Stocks or Watchlist
Your watchlist is a list of stocks you choose to track. It is not a portfolio and does not record ownership, quantity or price. It is stored on our servers and read automatically to display your list, live prices, your heatmap and your news feed for those stocks, to send you filing alerts, and to generate the insights you request.
6. Purposes of processing
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- providing, operating, maintaining and securing the Service, and developing and introducing new features within it;
- displaying your watchlist and the prices, news, filings, alerts and insights relating to it;
- personalising the Service, including what is shown to you and the order in which it appears;
- communicating with you, including service messages and marketing;
- processing payments, crediting coins, and maintaining records required by law;
- understanding and improving how the Service is used, including through analytics;
- detecting, preventing and investigating misuse, fraud and security incidents;
- complying with law and responding to lawful requests from courts and regulators; and
- analytics and marketing.
7. Consent and withdrawal
Consent to the processing described in this policy is given when you accept our Terms of Use on creating an account. This policy is the notice that accompanies that consent.
You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to the Grievance Officer. Consent is given as a whole and cannot be withdrawn in part. Withdrawal closes your account, and we will cease processing and erase your personal data except where the law requires us to retain it. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out beforehand.
We record which version of this policy you consented to and when, and will provide that record on request.
8. Communications
Service messages, including password resets, purchase confirmations, filing alerts and notices about this policy, are part of the Service and are sent to all account holders.
9. Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell your personal data or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Your information may be shared with service providers processing it on our instructions under contract: cloud hosting and database providers; payment processors, being Apple, Google and our payment gateway; notification and email delivery providers; analytics and error-monitoring providers; advertising and measurement providers; and artificial intelligence providers under clause 10.
We may disclose personal data where required by law, by a court, or by a regulator acting within its powers.
10. Artificial intelligence
Insights are generated by large language models operating on publicly available material. Material sent to a provider is handled under that provider’s own terms.
11. Links to other websites
The Service links to primary sources, including exchange filings, company documents and news. Such links are not an endorsement of the linked site or its contents.
This policy ceases to apply when you follow a link away from StockTool.AI. The other site’s terms and privacy policy then govern. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.
13. Access logs
Our servers record IP address, device and browser information, screens or pages requested, and the date and time. These logs are used to operate and secure the Service.
14. Transfers outside India
Some of the providers named in clause 9 operate outside India, and your personal data may be processed outside India. We do not transfer personal data to any country restricted by the Central Government under the Act.
15. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as the purpose requires. Your account data and watchlist are erased when your account is closed or consent is withdrawn. Purchase records are kept for eight years from the end of the relevant financial year, as tax and company law require. Support correspondence is kept for 24 months after the query is closed. Logs are kept for at least one year.
16. Your rights
You may ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed, have it corrected, updated or erased, raise a grievance, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your death or incapacity.
Write to the Grievance Officer. We will respond within 90 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, or receive none, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India in the manner it prescribes.
18. Security
We maintain reasonable security safeguards against personal data breaches, including encryption in transit and at rest, access restricted to those requiring it, and logging and monitoring of access. No system is entirely secure.
19. Data breach
On becoming aware of a personal data breach we will inform you without delay of its nature, its likely consequences, the measures taken, and the steps you may take. We will report the breach to the Data Protection Board of India within the time prescribed.
20. Disclaimer as to loss
We are not liable for loss or damage arising from unauthorised access to, or the loss, misuse or alteration of, your personal data occurring despite the safeguards in clause 18 and without fault on our part. This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
21. Cancellation and termination
You may close your account at any time from the app or by writing to support@stocktool.ai. Personal data is then handled under clause 15. Termination by us is governed by clause 14 of the Terms of Use.
22. Refunds
Coins are a one-off prepaid purchase. There is no subscription and nothing auto-renews. Refunds are governed by clause 7.4 of the Terms of Use.
23. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy on any change to what we collect or why, and will notify you before the change takes effect. Where a change requires consent we will seek it. Earlier versions are available on request.
